Centralized AdBlock Database

2005/02/26 filed under /random_thoughts

AdBlock is a fine FireFox extension. The only small downside is that, if you install it on a new machine, you will have to copy your settings again. Now wouldn't it be nice if there was some central database with AdBlock settings that you could import with a single click? Maybe I should start looking into writing FireFox extensions...

My idea exactly. I was just googling for one such thing when I stumbles across this. I will let you know if I come up with anything.

That's the same list that I use. Perhaps a way to automate updates from that location would be nice. I'm not a programer in anyway so I'd have no idea how to actually make it happen though.
